Attorney Paul B. Novak maintains a general practice law firm. In addition, Paul specializes in Juvenile Law, Criminal Defense, Driving Under the Influence, as well as any traffic violations. In addition, Paul handles all matters concerning DCFS, otherwise known as the Department of Children and Family Services, including representation of parents, children, day-care facilities, and foster care families. Paul travels to Lake, Cook, McHenry, Dupage, and Will Counties as well as other counties.
Paul graduated from The John Marshall Law School in 1996 and passed the Illinois Bar in his first attempt in 1996. He has worked in both Cook and Lake County Government before entering private practice. First, he worked for the Cook County Office of the Chief Judge. There he worked under the supervision of a Chief Judge assisting in the preparation of written opinions. Next, Paul worked for the Lake County State's Attorney's Office as an Assistant State's Attorney. As an Assistant State's Attorney Paul worked in the Traffic, Misdimeanor, Juvenile, Felony Review as well as the Felony Division.
